Travis Sexton is a strategic communications and public affairs leader who specializes in helping clients overcome their land use policy and permitting challenges.
Travis develops and executes successful campaigns using traditional and non-traditional media and political campaign strategies for clients encountering varying degrees of political, community (NIMBYs), CEQA/EIR, and planning/zoning issues during the entitlement process.
With over 15 year experience, Travis is an expert in community engagement tactics and mobilizing supporters to take action, creating the political cover and pressure necessary to win. He has worked with clients on projects throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, South Dakota, Kentucky and Texas. He has also worked for clients in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
He has past experience in government relations in the healthcare industry, as well as several years of political campaign experience in California and Colorado. He began his career as a news reporter for KMTR-NBC 16 in Eugene, Oregon.
Travis received his MBA from Pepperdine University and Journalism and English degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He attended the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program and University of California-Berkeley and University of California-Davis #CEQA CLE programs. Travis lives in San Ramon with his wife, two kids, and three chocolate labs.
